Laing O'Rourke/Metronet ~ Bayswater Solar Car Park

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Forming a key part of the Metronet project, the Bayswater station is a connection point for bus and train passengers as part of the METRONET Midland, Forrestfield-Airport Link and the Morley Ellenbrook Line projects. The new station connects passengers to the Midland, Airport and Morley-Ellenbrook lines as well as improving connections across the railway, allowing for increased bus services to the station and improving cycling and pedestrian movements.

SCOPE OF WORK

The current Bayswater Station design is completing the process for achieving a 4-star Greenstar rating from the GBCA. It is desired that the Station to achieve a 5-star Greenstar rating becoming the first station on the PTA network to achieve such a rating.

Wilco Electrical was engaged to design and construct a carpark structure and solar PV system to provide shade and cover for commuters and sufficient on site generation to enable a 5 star Greenstar rating for the site.

Structure Scope:

  1. Design of structural steel, footings and infrastructure to PTA standards
  2. Off site fabrication, painting and transport
  3. On site installation

Solar PV System:

  1. Design of 90 kW Solar PV system, including cable reticulation and integration
  2. Installation of Solar PV System, including panels, inverters and protection
  3. Testing and verification
